XL Specialized Trailers is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered and customized trailers for applications in the heavy haul trucking, construction, agriculture, wind energy, and oil & gas industries. Founded in 1995 by George Wall, XL is headquartered in Manchester, Iowa and is a leader in the heavy-haul industry. XL employs hundreds of team professionals at its facilities in Manchester. Artisan craftspeople make up the bulk of its workforce: welders, machinists, fabricators, painters, and final assemblers. In line with its strategy, the company is planning for expansion, and/or acquisition, in the foreseeable future. 

The company’s success is primarily due to the partnership it has by working with a comprehensive dealer network such as Sound Heavy Machinery.
